1) CoPower crowdfunding event – The comment period on Canada's new crowdfunding regulations ended on June 18, in advance of a review period that’s expected to be quite short. To mark the occasion, CoPower hosted a dialogue atNotman House with the Autorité des marchés financiers, featuring investors from Real VenturesBrightSpark Ventures, and Anges Quebec, a wide array of entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders. The event was a sellout success and featured lively debates—here's a brief recap from Julien Brault of Les Affaires (en français).

3) Solar shines on in Ontario – June's provincial election marked an important win for clean energy in Ontario. With the Liberal majority government in place, the Ontario Power Authority will announce an additional 123.5 MW of clean energy feed-in-tariff contracts this month—representing over $500 million in new development. 

4) Climate bedfellows – Three former US Secretaries of the Treasury were among those that launched the 'Risky Business Report' outlining the risks of climate change on the American economy. Canada's National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy released a similar economic impact report in 2011.
